Day 12

Friday was a busy day at work which left very little time for snacking.  After a long debate, we decided to  go out for pizza.  I did my best to keep with the whole "all things in moderation," but I hope the pizza doesn't undo all the work from Monday-Thursday.  We'll find out at Weigh-In Wednesday.

I've had a crazy craving for buffalo wings for a little over a week now.  Dinner was at Wingstop last night.  I skipped the fries and the soda.  I had 10 wings with an unsweetened iced tea.  I don't know the caloric content of said wings.

Weigh-In #1

Today has been extremely busy.  Actually, this week has been a blur.  I apologize for not posting today's "What I Ate" entry.  I'll double up tomorrow.

Anyone know how to type out the sound of a drum roll?  I have the first week's results.  I was a little shocked with what I saw on the scale for the second week in a row. This time it was good though.

I dropped 9.2 pounds in the first week. 

Needless to say, I didn't expect that big of a drop in a week.  It felt good walking out of Dr. Clardy's office knowing I had dropped 9.2% of the Benjamin (the math was easy to compute), but I know the journey is far from over.  Let's call this a good start.

Day 8: Just Say No to Cookies

Monday night is poker night.  One of the guys always brings homemade cookies.  Maybe it's because I'm "cookie deprived," but I actually think they smelled and looked better than ever before.  I held strong and said no.  Thank you Nancy Regan.
